“The Foundation” (Age 7 – 11) A fun, game-based workshop where kids learn that money is finite. We teach them the difference between “Needs” vs. “Wants” and how to make smart choices with their allowance.
Know Your Money Workshop (Ages 7–11) is a fun, game-based financial literacy session where children learn that money is finite, how to tell the difference between needs and wants, and how to make smarter choices with the money they have.
Your child is already learning about money.
They see you paying for things. They hear conversations about prices. They ask for toys, snacks, games, and the things they want. They may already receive an allowance or have money of their own.
But understanding that something costs $5 is very different from understanding what that $5 is worth.
At this age, children are beginning to form their attitudes and habits around money. Without a strong foundation, it is easy for money to become something they simply spend whenever they have it, without thinking about choices, priorities, or consequences.
The good news is that financial literacy does not have to start with complicated lessons about investments or spreadsheets.
It starts with something much simpler: helping children understand that money is limited, every choice has a trade-off, and what they want is not always what they need.
That is what Know Your Money is designed to do.
Rather than sitting through a traditional financial lesson, children learn through games, activities, discussions, and real-life examples that make money concepts easier to understand and remember.
Throughout the session, your child will explore the difference between Needs vs. Wants, discover why money is finite, practise making choices with limited resources, and begin developing smarter habits around spending and saving.
The goal is not to turn your child into a financial expert overnight.
It is to give them the right foundation early, so that as their world gets bigger and the financial decisions become more complex, they already understand the basic principles behind making a good choice.
Give your child a head start with money.
Let them learn, play, make choices, and Know Your Money.
